Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy was born 10 January 1986. She is an English television model and personality. She finished second in Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2) in 2006 and won series eleven of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. The presenter of Britain's Next Top Model presenter since 2015. Clancy was born on July 7, 1965 in Liverpool. She is the second of four kids of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was born in Woolton, an area in Liverpool. She attended St Mary's Primary School, and St Julie's Catholic High school. Clancy formed the girl band Genie Queen and was managed by Andy McCluskey, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was one of thirteen finalists for the Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model's second season in 2006. The contest lasted for 10 weeks to win a modeling contract. Clancy was joined by Lianna Fowler for the final runway show, and was the runner-up. Clancy was the first model to be featured on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike on the May 2007 cover of Arena magazine. Clancy was selected to be included in the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated 2010. Clancy was chosen for her connection to Peter Crouch. She was photographed by Yu Tsai in only body paint, making it look like she was sporting the England shirt. Clancy was featured in Umbro's 2010 campaign. She was wearing the England shirt, and was accompanied by other women from the teams that won. Clancy walked with the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011, collection. Clancy also appeared on Elite Model Management: New York division website in March 2011. She was part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign in July 2013. The editorial was shot by Absynth Photographyic. The fashion film was by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured in August's UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy, along with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was included in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy made her debut on the cover of British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue as well as British Elle's March issue. Abbey Clancy was joined by her daughter Sophia Crouch and Lipsy, a London-based fashion designer, to launch of their AW'19 collections. In January 2020 the collection for AW19 was officially launched in the UAE.
