In the earlier days (i.e. the early 2020s, comedians could have expected to spend years gigging up and down the UK as stand-ups, before being invited onto a television panel show and then selling tickets to an arena tour. However, it's not so simple in the present. Comedy is an art form that has been art that can continue to perform in front of an audience live. However, we'll not have arena tours any time coming. One Bristol comedian has managed to find an international audience during lockdown through social media. Abi Clarke wasn't aiming to become a famous internet personality. Abi Clarke is a young woman of 24 who lives in Henbury along with her parents, made her first video online to "build a community of similar people who could appreciate my stand-up comic act." "I was performing a lot more shows in Devon to males aged 50 and over, and I began making online videos in the hope that I could create an audience of people who would appreciate my stand-up comedy," Abi said.
