 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub is an American actress, comedian and activist. After emigrating to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her career began as a child actor. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials between 2013 and 2016 - and then from 2020 on - earned her acclaim. In addition to her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular in the series of the Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and had a recurring role in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub is also the voice of Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after she was selected to play the character in the unaired television pilot for New Warriors. Vayntrub is a Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and an American Jew. Her parents and she left antisemitism at just two years old. They emigrated to the U.S. with their children. Due to the family's financial difficulties the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit her sophomore year, and subsequently obtained an GED. After that she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. She studied improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
